About Me

Hi there! 👋 My name is Val and I write code and design tools to allow us to take better care of the environment.

I am a research software engineer, currently working as an ecologist and research software developper at Laurier Univeristy from my home in Montreal (in the Wild Lab of Prof. Frances Stewart). I am especially interested in reproducibility and open science. In my free time I love to bird at the Montreal Mont-Royal park and read climate fiction novels. I am originally from 🇫🇷 but from 🇨🇦 at heart.

I hold a B.Sc. (Hons) and a M.Sc. both in Ecology, from McGill University.
